Our Renovation Process
Once the plaster in a concrete swimming pool has deteriorated, it is easy to stain, can cut the toes when touched and be difficult to maintain and use more chemicals than it should. Once this occurs a swimming pool renovation is required before the deterioration creates severe long term problems. The old swimming pool plaster must be removed and resurfaced using new Duraquartz pool plaster.
Preparation is often the most important thing, this is also the case with swimming pool resurfacing. Scratch coating is a process many of our competitors use to save time and energy however if the old swimming pool surface has any problems it will affect the new pool plaster that has been laid on top. The removal of all pool plaster by jackhammer is a vital part for ensuring the new plaster has good adhesion and is unaffected by the deteriorated old surface.
All plaster in the swimming pool is “jack hammered” and removed prior to new pool plaster being laid.
